We are thrilled to share that our lab’s work on the Health District @ Queenstown Project was featured in Channel NewsAsia’s new documentary series, Innovations That Matter, which celebrates NUS’ 120 years of knowledge, discovery, and innovation.

The Health District @ Queenstown is an innovative, collaborative effort designed to reimagine urban living for an ageing population. Initiated in Queenstown, the project brings together researchers, healthcare professionals, community organizations, and residents to create evidence-based solutions that support healthy ageing, active lifestyles, and social connection.

In Episode 1, “Innovations That Matter to Super-Aged Societies,” our team discussed the motivation behind conducting research in Queenstown. With Singapore’s rapidly ageing population, our research aims to find new ways to support healthy and purposeful ageing within the community.

Dr Jia, one of the project leaders, shared that, “I believe the work is important, especially given the ageing population in Singapore.”

We are proud to be part of efforts that are making a meaningful difference in people’s lives and are grateful for the opportunity to highlight our work on such a prominent platform.

To learn more about the Health District Project and see our team in action, watch the documentary’s first episode, “Innovations That Matter to Super-Aged Societies,” available on CNA’s Video on Demand.
